MEET OUR VETERINARIANS
Padraig O'Casaigh BVSc, Ph.D., MRCVS; Clinician/Scientist
Dr. O'Casaigh (Paddy) obtained his Veterinary qualification 34 years ago (BVSc, Massey University) in New Zealand, and followed this up with an Equine Surgical Internship at Hagyard, Davidson, and McGee (Lexington, Kentucky), before traveling West to complete his residency and Doctor of Philosophy at UC Davis (Davis, California).
While on his Post Doctoral Fellowship, he set up the collaborative Mont Liggins Research Trust with World Famous Professor Sir Mont Liggins in New Zealand. This Trust has numerous collaborative laboratories worldwide and has trained many postgraduate students. As well as speaking and publishing widely around the world,
Dr. Paddy has two revolutionary patents in New Cell Growth and Transplantation and multiple International Biotechnology Companies. In addition, with Dr. Bernard's help, Dr. Paddy has established unique bio-pharmacology for CBD, maximizing bio-availability and pharmacologic activity for mammals and birds.
Bill Bernard, DVM, Dipl. ACVIM
Dr. Bernard's education includes an undergraduate degree from the University of California Berkeley, a veterinary degree from the University of California Davis, and his internship and residency at the University of Pennsylvania New Bolton Equine Center. Dr. Bernard is board certified in large animal medicine.
Dr. Bernard has twenty years of clinical practice experience as a partner at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Dr. Bernard has authored and published numerous scientific articles in respected veterinary journals and multiple chapters regarding equine internal medicine in various textbooks.
Dr. Bernard is especially interested in perinatology and infectious diseases, including the gastrointestinal tract. Dr. Bernard is also the founder of Bluegrass Animal Products, where he has developed a line of probiotics for horses, dogs, cats, and cattle, that reduce common digestive issues. So it is only natural that he became interested in the benefits of CBD and its effect on the body's overall wellness.
